As a previous resident of a halfway house, Joyce McClendon had a vision of helping incarcerated women reenter society as they transition from prison. With many years of experience working with women, children, and families, Joyce became a board member, housing director and program director of the Potter’s Wheel, which fed and sheltered people and families without homes. Later Joyce facilitated the Right Step Initiative, a drug and alcohol recovery program for men and women to problem solve and grow in Christ through the sharing of their own experiences, strengths, and hopes with each other.
